The total-gut transformation has moved down to the ground floor. The crew is systematically tearing down the old drywall, pulling down plaster ceilings to reveal the original timber joists, and clearing out decades of old infrastructure. This level is quickly being stripped down to its bare bones to match the open expanse of the upper floors.
