The crew is currently sistering the floor joists across the levels—fastening brand-new, heavy-duty timber directly alongside the historic original beams. This process essentially doubles the strength of the floors, correcting decades of settling and ensuring a rock-solid, perfectly level foundation before any new layout framing can begin.
